2014: Diary of Events

The Georgian Studies Day conference was held successfully last November in London with GSD convenor Dr Tamara Dragadze.

Delegates heard an update from the new Georgian Ambassador to the UK, Mr. Revaz Gachechiladze together with a range of speakers addressing the theme of ‘Georgia and Young People’. Both Newport & Bristol representatives outlined their Associations’ achievements over the past year.

Georgian Youth Ambassadors talked about their work at Exeter and Edinburgh universities.

NKTA member, Stephen Marshall represented the association when he spoke of the Youth Exchange programme between Newport and Kutaisi undertaken in 2013. He had the opportunity to meet with many NKTA friends from both the UK and Georgia.
